The Liechtenstein food manufacturer Hilcona was awarded for its outstanding management of global product information. The company won the Innovation Award 2016 in Berlin.
The award is handed out each year by 1WorldSync GmbH, a company from Cologne, Germany that works worldwide as a network for production information. According to an article in the newspaper Liechtensteiner Vaterland and a statement from 1WorldSync, Hilcona won the award during the 1WorldSync European Annual User Group in Berlin. Other well-known companies such as Dr.Oetker, Edeka, Henkel and Proctor & Gamble also won awards in different categories.
Klaus Schmid, executive vice president and managing director of 1WorldSync, is quoted: Hilcona showed impressive community engagement and sustained innovation. Hilcona presented itself as a partner for testing a novel, automated exchange of product information that makes it possible to record product information from one source and transform it. These are then available to distributors and retail in a short space of time.
