Hilti came in third place in the Large Companies category in the study Best Workplaces in Switzerland 2017 produced by Great Place to Work. The study looked at Hilti locations in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The study is based on the results of anonymous employee surveys on workplace topics such as trust, professional development, remuneration and promotion of health and wellbeing. Results from external employer assessments are also used.
“We are very pleased about being recognised once again for our corporate culture. Employees can see that their feedback is taken seriously and that we draw on it to make tangible improvements,” said Sabine Kraus, head of Global Human Resources.
In the survey, employees praised in particular the inspiring work environment, commitment of colleagues and management, and professional development opportunities, explains Kraus. Hilti also scored points with its flexible working hour models that take into account the different needs of employees.
Overall, Kraus regards the strong ranking in the study as confirmation of the company’s distinct corporate culture “that puts people first”.
